Bali is the most popular Indonesian island located in the Indian Ocean. It lies to the west of the Lesser Sunda Islands, and to the east from Lombok. If you want to visit this beautiful island, you must book a flight to Ngurah Rai International Airport south of Kuta, sometimes internationally referred to as Denpasar Airport. This is the only airport in Bali. You can catch a bus or drive a car from Jakarta to Bali, but it is a 23-hour road trip.

However, if you do not like to fly or drive, you can arrive by boat. Many agencies include Bali as a stop in their luxury cruise itineraries.

The best time to visit Bali

Bali has a warm, tropical climate, since it is only 8 degrees south of the Equator. The average temperature is around 26-27°C, with a humidity level of about 85-90 percent. There are only two seasons: the dry season and the rainy season. The rainy season typically starts in October and ends in March. The dry season is between April and September.

The best time to visit Bali would be in April, May, June or September, before and after the high season. The high season is during the months of July and August, along with any other Western holidays and New Year.
