Bastille : Bonne Fete!

10 days after the US celebrates its independence, it’s France’s turn. On 14 July ‘L’Hexagone’ celebrates Bastille Day, when the Bastille fell way back in 1789. France has been a democracy ever since (well, technically since 1792, when the First Republic of France was first officially established following the French Revolution, but we’re not ones to quibble!) We’re big fans of France – and here we celebrate the country and its inimitable culture.
