Culinary Adventures at Karma Kandara

When it comes to culinary adventures, our flagship luxury resort in Bali, Karma Kandara is a Southeast Asia standout, bringing together an array of award-winning dining experiences. We thought we’d take the opportunity to update Members on all that’s on offer, including some exciting new additions. A surefire highlight is of course dinner at di Mare. This is destination dining at its finest, in a spacious pavilion beneath a sail-like tensile roof, perched above the Indian Ocean. Here, guests can indulge in four tantalising tasting menus that showcase Executive Chef Joseph Antonishek and his kitchen team’s artistry. An à la carte menu is also available of course, with dishes to suit every taste, including more than 30 vegetarian and vegan options and with new seasonal creations regularly added.

For lunch, di Mare presents a fusion of its signature fare with select dishes from Karma Group’s global resort portfolio. Diners can embark on a journey through authentic flavours, such as Bamia -a traditional Egyptian goat leg and okra stew infused with spices sourced directly from the bustling souks of Luxor. The menu also pays homage to culinary traditions from India, Thailand, Vietnam, and Europe, transporting tastebuds to distant lands. Indulgence reaches new heights with the restaurant’s dessert menu, where rare local ingredients take centre stage. Guests can choose from a variety of Indonesian-inspired sweet creations and ingenious fusions, carefully crafted to leave a lasting impression and provide the perfect conclusion to a remarkable dining experience.

Meanwhile, down at Karma Beach, Le Club 22 is set to undergo an exciting transformation next month. The oceanfront venue will shift its focus to Italian-inspired Mediterranean cuisine, with a forward-thinking Californian approach. With a commitment to exceptional flavours and premium ingredients, the revamped Le Club 22 promises to captivate discerning palates, offering a unique blend of Italian and Californian culinary influences.

Karma Beach and the Tiki Bar provide informal eats at their best, with a sophisticated beach-snack concept combining classics from around the world. Chef Joe’s latest menu features mouthwatering dishes like Miyazaki A5 yakitori from Tokyo, authentic Baja fish tacos served with homemade flour tortillas and renowned Karma Beach wood-fired pizzas. These pizzas, made with imported flour, tomatoes, and Fontina cheese from Italy, are elevated with the freshest local ingredients, resulting in pizzas with a hallowed reputation in Bali and beyond.

The range of culinary offerings at Karma Kandara are a testament to the resort’s commitment to providing guests with extraordinary dining experiences. Whether savouring the innovative creations of the dinner tasting menus, exploring the varied lunch options, indulging in Indonesian-inspired desserts, sampling the forthcoming Italian transformation at Le Club 22, or immersing in the beach-morsel delights of Tiki Bar and Karma Beach, guests are assured of an unrivalled culinary adventure from one day to the next.
