Floating Feni Experience

Local liquors are enjoying a cultural moment – and long may it continue! From Indonesian arak to Mexican mezcal, artfully crafted alcoholic beverages are getting the global profile they deserve. And soon it could be the turn of Feni. Anyone who has visited Goa will have heard of Feni – brewed primarily from cashews or coconuts, Feni is a heady spirit which, when brewed properly, is filled with subtle aromatics and flavour profiles…

Our inaugural Karma Curated Experience event in India gives guests a privileged insight into how this ancient beverage is created. On 19 and 26 April, guests at Karma Royal Haathi Mahal will be able to join us at the famous Fazenda Cazulo Family Estate in Cansaulim – a stunning property set around a purling stream that is responsible for some of Goa’s finest Feni. Besides witnessing Feni being made on the 90-minute estate tour, guests will be treated to a special Feni pairing tasting menu, featuring exquisite Goan appetisers and snacks and three different types of Feni.
