Flying High to Bali Ha’i!

Remember the post-pandemic Bali comeback? Head to the island now and it’s like it never went away – especially as festive season fever takes over, with visitors from across the globe descending on the island’s bewitching shores. It’s perhaps unsurprising given the growing list of industry accolades the island has scored over the last couple of years – talk about impressive covid comeback!

In 2023, Bali scored second place in TripAdvisor’s Most Popular Destinations and first place in the Traveler’s Choice Awards as well as winning the Traveller’s Choice Award in Asia (in 2021 it was the global winner!). Bali was also named Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination and Most Romantic Destination four years in a row from 2019 – 2022 and has been a consistent nominee for World’s Leading Island Destination in the World Travel Awards for the last 14 years.

Bali’s upward tourism trend is reflected in the addition of some exciting new ways to get to the island. UAE airline Etihad is now flying direct to Bali from its Abu Dhabi hub – which means you’ll be able to find connecting flights from Etihad destinations everywhere, including of course Europe and the US. With four flights a week and a fleet of Dreamliners, the new Etihad route is a welcome addition that gives travellers more options for travel to Bali.

Meanwhile, airlines in Australia are also ramping up their Bali schedules, offering great-value flights year round from all the major cities – keep your eyes peeled for flash sales – like Qantas flights from Sydney – and Batik Air’s new budget Australia flights which launched in the summer.
