Festival of Spring

11 – 13 April, Karma Seven Lakes, Udaipur

Experience the vibrant Mewar festival in Udaipur, an explosion of colour coinciding with the Gangaur Festival. On 11 April, immerse yourself in Rajasthani culture with songs, dances, and processions, exploring the old city with a guided tour. 12 April brings a culinary adventure with a cooking demo by the Head Chef, followed by a visit to Gangaur Ghat to witness the colourful festivities. On 13 April, explore the local spice market with the chef, savouring chai and samosas. The evening showcases traditional dance forms like Ghoomar and Kalbeliya, accompanied by local songs. The festival concludes with a spectacular fireworks display, marking the end of this three-day celebration that paints Udaipur with the hues of joy and tradition.

    Re-Discover the Pearl of the Orient

    Embark on a three-day journey to discover the hidden gems of Goa beyond its famous beaches. This expedition promises an authentic and surprising experience, delving into the rich history and culture of the region. On day one, explore the serene Sree Damodar Saunsthan and ancient caves, concluding the day with a traditional Goan feast in a lush plantation. Day two takes you to Chandor, once the seat of Kadamba Kings, unveiling tales of a queen’s curse and exploring elegant heritage homes. On the final day, discover the lesser-seen side of Margao, South Goa’s bustling heart, through picturesque streets and the ancient Holy Spirit Church, over 450 years old.

      Timeless Himalayan Tradition

      30 June – 02 July, Karma Martam Retreat, Sikkim

      Experience the vibrant traditions of Sikkim during the Aasar Pandhra festival, celebrating the profound connection between the people and their crops. In June and July, Sikkim comes alive with the sowing season, and this festival captures the essence of this centuries-old  agricultural bond. The itinerary unfolds with a village stroll through Martam Village on 30 June, where traditions run deep. Explore the picturesque Changey Falls and enjoy a home-cooked meal with a local family. On 01 July, engage in a soulful puja ceremony, participate in the traditional ‘Joru Gotnu’ ploughing method, sow rice seeds, and enjoy a tea break with local treats. The evening of 02 July takes you to the tranquil ‘Gufa’ for a glimpse into the world of Tibetan Buddhism. Conclude the festival with a mesmerising bonfire gathering, featuring traditional music and dances.
