Scilly Season is Back

Our luxury island retreat Karma St. Martin’s is opening shortly for the Spring-Summer season – the perfect time to explore the beautiful Isles of Scilly archipelago just 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall. A unique blend of English countryside and tradition with crystal waters and flora that more resembles the Mediterranean, the Isles of Scilly have a unique culture and history. They were a regular stopping point for the British Navy for centuries. In fact, Karma St. Martin’s destination restaurant is named after the famous naval commander Sir Cloudesely-Shovell, who battled the French and Spanish fleets in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The islands are also home to species like dolphins, seals and even puffins among a host of endemic and migratory sea birds. The botanical gardens on nearby Tresco Island are a subtropical gem and a must-visit during your stay.

Karma St. Martins itself is absolute beachfront, giving onto a brilliant stretch of white sand and clear Atlantic waters perfect for a bracing swim! Enjoy Sir Cloudsley Shovell Restaurants AA rosette award-winning cuisine and activities from horse riding to snorkelling or diving with seals. Four legged friends are most welcome to join and we suspect they’ll love St. Martin’s wide expanses as much as you! All you need to do is settle back and enjoy  the relaxed rhythm of island life – shhh.. Scilly is Britain’s best kept secret!
