We had planned a week to celebrate the 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary of my in-laws at Karma Royal Benaulim. Mr. S.K Salian, a former Bank Chairman and Mrs. Salian, both senior citizens, thoroughly enjoyed their time at Karma Royal from 28th May to 5th June 2017.
As usual, we were welcomed with warmth and chilled beer in the fridge. (Grenville D’ Costa always believes that hospitality is in the details.)
All eager for a week of sightseeing, eating out, me cooking up a storm as usual and value time spent together, but the heavens opened out on 31st, washing out all our plans and we decided to make the most of it by reimagining a fun filled holiday.
In the rainy morning, the flooded poolside area was overflowing. Glen was on his rounds and by afternoon he had managed to install pipe drainage system to direct the rain water into the gutters across the periphery of the pool area walk path. As the resort was recently renovated and opened to members, the rain aggravated teething problems of water supply, electricity, cable TV, were rectified in a jiffy.
We could enjoy the Genuine Goan cuisine by Rakesh, the authentic Goan Chef, which I am sure many members are not aware of.
The Karma Spa was a discovery and my guests thoroughly enjoyed the personal attention showered on them every day.
Right from Elston- front office manager, Antonio- executive house keeper, the cleaning staff, room service and attendants, it was top notch hospitality from day one.
Benaulim boasts of one of the cleanest beaches and we could enjoy leisurely walks and exotic sun sets every day.
I remember the inauguration of Beach Club as it was known then in 1996, and after more than two decades, the quality of the property and facilities, the brand behaviour and service delivery have only appreciated over the years.As life members from 1995, my wife and I thoroughly enjoy our stay at all Karma Royal Resorts. (Sometimes we have visited three to four times in a year).
And we fully endorse the tagline- We create… experiences.
