The accommodation you secured for us in San Francisco was just brilliant! Thank you. The hotel was right opposite the Bay Bridge and when lit at night, provided the most wonderful backdrop to our romantic meals for two and a special finale to our USA holiday.
There were so many highlights on this trip but I figured out my secret weapon was my walking stick, or cane, as they call it. It opened many doors for us and always secured seats on the subway etc. Broadway shows in NY were very special, as was the time we spent with the Amish in Pennsylvania, quite an eye opener. French speaking Montreal and Quebec were unique and the time spent on the cruise travelling through New England was sheer delight. Yes, it’s a hard life and to think we will be doing it all over again in a few weeks when we take off as a family unit to Japan. I have flung the “cane” away and we are all kitted out for fun in the snow.
