My husband and I and 2 other couples stayed at the Alpen Club in Schliersee in Germany for one week. This was our gift certificate that we received when we joined Odyssey.
We cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to stay there. We loved every minute.
The resort is everything you could want. The rooms are spacious and have wonderful views of the countryside.
The resort has so many wonderful features such as the indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room, a games room, a bowling alley. So much in fact you need more than a week to enjoy to all the fantastic facilities. We were so busy sight-seeing in the surrounding areas ( and further away like Saltzburg and the castle at Neuschwanstein ) that we didn't spend as much time at the resort as we would have liked.
The staff were wonderful, always friendly and helpful. We were picked up from the station and taken back to the airport which we really appreciated. We enjoyed our meals at the restaurant and breakfast was great.
The bus pass was useful and we enjoyed the spectacular sights that the area around Schliersee has to offer. Just walking down and around the township was an enjoyable experience with the beautiful houses, shops and buildings.
We would certainly recommend that everyone should make at least one visit here if not more. We would love to go back and simply relax there.
We were lucky enough to witness Mayday activities and the parade while we were there. What an experience. The Maypole , Bavarian dancing and beer drinking. Such an atmosphere. I have included some photos of that occasion, along with some of the town itself, the church and grounds and our ride up to Spitzingsee I wish I had taken one of the indoor pool as it was magnificent.
