April 2022 saw us able to enjoy our first overseas holiday utilising our Karma membership since joining in in 2019 due to Australia’s travel restrictions in response to Covid-19. We chose to stay at Karma Royal Sanur as it was part of the lovely island of Bali which we had not explored. Utilising the Karma airport transfer service we were met by at the airport by the friendly smiles of Rahwi who welcomed us to the island and transported us to the little resort, which turned out to be a hidden away oasis off a main arterial road and surprisingly tranquil.
Karma Royal Sanur is set back a long way from the main beach and esplanade. The initial walk to the beach was a little daunting as you must navigate crossing a main road and walk along side streets with little signage and no footpaths. The walk takes approximately 30 min, and becomes quirky and less daunting as familiarity and the Bail way settle in to your being.
The room was a good size and well appointed with all basic needs catered for even down to providing power point converters. Enjoying the balcony in the evenings was made all the more pleasant, as staff not only turn down your bed, they light a mosquito coil on the balcony to keep away the mosquitos.
Ryan the resort manager ensured that all our need were met and even took time out to ensure we understood how to get the most out of our Karma membership additional touches like this were greatly appreciated.
Although Karma Royal Sanur provided a relaxing oasis and we enjoyed the restaurant and drinks by the pool. Our most memorable experience was a day visit to Karma Kandara, followed by watching the sun set over the resort whilst enjoying the culinary delights at Di Mare. The dinning experience was made even sweeter by receiving the members food and beverage discount. Love the little perks.
I would like to thank all the staff for making our trip a truly relaxing and revegetating experience and wish you all the best as Australia and the world returns to your beautiful island paradise.
