I am member of Odyssey since many years but have always taken Karma holidays in India (Goa, Jaipur and Shimla). This was the first time we decided to stay at a Karma resort abroad. We zeroed down on Karma Royal Villea, Makrigaolos, Greece.
The whole experience from the time of enquiry and booking was a very positive one. Greta was very helpful and patient with respect to all my queries and helped me with the booking confirmation. She was very prompt in replying to all my mails.
And then finally we were off on our vacation. Along with a friend's family of three, my husband and 12 year old son, I stayed at Karma Royal villa village Makrigaolos from 8-May-2017 to 13-May-2017. We had a wonderful time.
Everyone at the resort was so very helpful starting with Ms Eva at the reception who gave us a lovely choice of rooms. The resort was beautiful with olive garden and lovely flowers. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. They were cleaned well during our stay The small kitchenette was very helpful especially with 2 kids around. The pool was good and the kids enjoyed swimming and playing volleyball in it.
Ms Chrissoulla whipped up awesome greek food all the time. Mr Luis and Vassily were extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit and we were very impressed by their knowledge of the area.
The town of Makrigaolos was beautiful as well as peaceful. The beach was right across the road in front of the resort. A large number of tavernas and shops lined the road while the bus stop was also right next to the resort. This made it very convenient for us to travel, shop or eat out whenever we wanted to.
We rented a car and drove dropped the entire east coast of Crete. We also trekked through the Pefki gorge. Again the staff at the Villea resort were very helpful in guiding us.
So I would really like to thank Odyssey for making our stay so comfortable and memorable!
I feel good about our decision to take Odyssey membership all those years back and am looking forward to planning more holidays across the world.
