I had a Timeshare exchange booking with World Mark, Yosemite, Bass Lake, #2873 CA USA, All the bookings were competently done by Evi Susanti, Navigator from Odyssey, Bali. My niece & I drove up from Laguna Woods (9 hours) to the above Timeshare, & stayed 5 days at this resort.
The accommodation (town-house) was comfortable, well equipped & heated. The location was great, easily accessible to all the national parks situated on the eastern border of central California. Despite the sense of remoteness these parks are relatively easy to reach, with good public roads.
We visited Yosemite National Park & Kings Canyon- truly masterpieces created by nature.
Free shuttles provided in these parks with self-guiding trails, lots to see & do.
Yosemite National Park was quite spectacular with its wide range of elevations, from its valley-once submerged beneath the sea millions of years ago, to its snow-capped mountains’ with a variety of wild life. We were lucky to have witnessed a school of deer’s walk past us. We spent most of our time in the valley -4000ft above sea level (accessible all year round.) The most visited part of the park 7 miles long & 1 mile wide. This valley formed by glacial erosions.
El Capitan (3595 ft.) A massive granite monolith & the Half Dome (8842 ft.) Great comparison with Ayres Rock.
We managed to get into the King’s National Park in a snow storm to the Giant Forest to see the largest trees in the world, the Sequoia grove which are 2000-3000 years old. Circumference of these trees at ground level is 102 ft.
The closest town to the timeshare was Oakhurst. Very attractive & one felt one was in the old wild west of America. Nice eating places & tourist information here.
All in all a great time was had in this Sierra Nevada corner of America, in our comfy timeshare surrounds- a nice warm place to put our feet up in the evening, after exploring this part of California.
Many thanks to Odyssey Bali & (Ms) Evi Susanti
