Bali has always been my favourite holiday destination. The journey to Karma Mayura was a long drive to the resort. The minute I stepped into Karma Mayura the rain came pouring down. The Gods are raining showers of blessings on me they welcomed me with open arms it is a very good omen Bali is known as the Island of the Gods. It is a sign of good Karma.
I was shown to my room which has balinese style furnishing and a comfortable bed and its spacious. Karma Mayura is a balinese style property on the banks of the river in the village of Mas. It is quiet, away from the bustle of the tourist towns of Kuta Seminyak Legian Nusa Dua etc. I was certainly not disappointed I came to relax and rejuvenate & Karma Mayura is the place to be with its tranquility, the greenery surrounding the place with our own little green garden just outside of our rooms.
My first day was spent in Ubud town searching for my favourite soup buntut - Oxtail Soup, my favourite Balinese dish found it in Pison Restaurant. It was oh so delicious the eat just melt in your mouth. Dinne was spent at Karma Mayura ate the Crispy Duck a Balinese Speciality the chefs here cooked it well. Monday night was BBQ night with live music. It was entertaining. Next day lunch was spent eating Nasi Campur at the Monkey Legend Restaurant in Ubud Town.
In between my time was spent making friends with the Karma members and sharing our travel stories Other times was spent relaxing or having "me" times like reading. It is so nice to escape from stressful Singapore and be in a place of calm & tranquility at Karma Mayura. On my last day the staff managed to squeezed me in for a 90 minute warm massage which was so rejuvenating. On the way back from the spa I met my little frog prince on the steps (see photo) such a nice change to enjoy the natural surroundings.
All the staff from drivers receptionist cleaners & servers ae all so nice to the guests. I thank them for making my stay pleasant. I had an enriching stay at Karma Mayura, a real Karma Experience.
