During May 2021 we were privileged to visit Western Australia to explore Perth and surrounds. Our accommodation at Club Wyndham in Perth was awesome - very comfortable & clean room, our choice of daily paper delivered each morning, a short walk to the amazing Kings Park with it’s beautiful gardens and a choice of restaurants also close by. Another plus was access to the city’s free bus network at the hotel door. The four City Cat routes meant we were able to easily access the many tourist attractions around the city.
Prior to this Perth visit we enjoyed a stay at Karma Rottnest, another treat indeed! This spotless spacious venue was adjacent to the hub of activity near the jetty. The Karma restaurant provided quality meals and the staff encouragement to explore the delights of the island. We met many friendly furry quokkas as we walked around exploring the sights and history of this island.
- Our next step was to hire and car and drive south to Club Wyndham Dunsborough, another base from which to explore the SW corner of WA. This is another well appointed venue with an excellent restaurant and laundry facilities. It is ideally situated to access the lighthouses at the junction of the Indian and Southern Oceans and the amazing caves and forests in the area including the Tall Trees Walk.
