In January 2024 we had two amazing weeks in Bali. Whilst we have been to Bali several times previously, we had never stayed at Karma Royal Candidasa. What a surprise Karma Royal Candidasa was to us. It’s definitely out of the way and most tourists don’t head out this far, so a quiet time was all but guaranteed. We are extremely happy that we spent our first week relaxing seaside at Karma Royal Candidasa, it set the scene for our entire holiday. The waterfront apartment was just what we needed to relax and unwind after a very busy 2023.
The staff were absolutely amazing and our Karma host Suzy proved to be a wealth of knowledge and we have since become friends sharing some other parts of similar life experiences. The day tour to the Bee farm, ancient village, chocolate factory and water gardens were a welcome relief from the normal hustle and bustle of holidays in Bali. But the best was yet to come when we went snorkelling over in the Blue Lagoon. Having snorkelled on the GBR I thought I had seen it all, how wrong was I…. The abundance of fish plus a couple of sea snakes really topped the morning off.
The laid-back lifestyle of Karma Royal Candidasa is something that we really enjoyed and we will be definitely returning for more holidays to this little piece of heaven. Our second week at Karma Royal Jimbaran was like putting on a favourite jumper. Upon arrival we felt relaxed and at home, although our last time here was back in 2016, the staff (especially Made) were amazing. Every need was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble, especially when the kids would appear for breakfast at 9.55 am. The staff looked after us in both locations and it was greatly appreciated. Finding the French restaurant in Karma Royal Jimbaran has to be one of the hidden gems in the area. I am already looking forward to returning for the amazing crepe suzette.
For those who haven’t visited Bali recently, do it, you won’t regret your decision.
