We spent two wonderful weeks at the AlpenClub Karma Bavaria along with two of our daughters and their families. There is so much to do around Schliersee and due to the beautiful weather we were able to spend time swimming and sunbathing by the lake, ascending mountains by the cable cars and on one occasion back down on a toboggan.
We hired boats on the lake and visited nearby towns by bus or train. The return fare to Munich was only 29 euros. for 5 persons so as there were 10 of us that was a good day out. We rode in a horse drawn carriage round the town and countryside of Schliersee and sometimes walked around the lake or just sat and viewed the beautiful mountain scenery.
The hotel swimming pool along with the hot tub and sauna was extremely popular with us. Most relaxing as were the spa treatments. The reception staff were always on hand with advice and information and the welcome meeting conducted by Dimitri and staff gave us a good insight into the activities in the hotel and the surrounding areas.
This was followed by wine and snacks and an opportunity to meet fellow guests. The Wulpertinger bar was a welcoming venue with a 2 for 1 happy hour which was the start of many pleasant evenings before we proceeded to the games room to play pool or bowling or the many games available.
On one night in the restaurant we had a special three course meal and entertainment by an English folk group with which we sang along and had a lovely time Our family consisted of children, teenagers and adults but we all found lots to do and after full busy days we were always ready for a comfortable restful sleep . We all enjoyed every minute and vowed to return in the not too distant future.
