Karma Rottnest has been our family’s go-to resort in Western Australia

Karma Rottnest has been our family’s go-to resort in Western Australia for a number of years and we had one final week there recently before it closes for renovations in preparation for a new owner.

Vivienne and myself, and our daughter, Nicole, son-in-law Stephen and grand-daughter Emily, have been meeting there year after year since we soon took on a membership, gifting our family a separate room as a guest reservation.

The resort has been a lifesaver giving us the chance to enjoy going somewhere during Covid, with no travel available overseas allowed. We did have Karma Apsara in Koh Samui booked for a family get away in 2000 but the onset of a rampant Covid and restrictions on travel resulted in that booking having to be cancelled. Hopefully, with the reduction in Covid and normality returning around the world, we have again made a booking at Karma Apsara for 2023 for our family. Rottnest has provided plenty of chances to enjoy wonderful beaches, usually by bicycle as we have ventured out during spring, summer and autumn. The clean and clear waters surrounding the island ensure a swim is enjoyed at any location. The historic resort will be missed by those of us living in WA and we are hoping to find other resorts to enjoy in coming years.
