I am writing to tell you about our wonderful holiday in Bali over the past two weeks.
My wife is in the middle of cancer treatment, but we were able to travel from Australia to Bali with our three adult children, their partners and two grandchildren for some special family time – a week at our favourite Karma resort, Karma Royal Candidasa, where we have stayed six times. My wife and I then had a second week on our own at Karma Mayura in Ubud, another wonderful resort. That was our third visit to Karma Mayura, so obviously we love staying there too.
The wonderful staff at Candidasa welcomed us “home” and looked after us all so well. Everyone in my family could see why we love staying there so much, and why we keep going back. Now they want to keep coming back with us!
Karma Royal Candidasa has the perfect ingredients for a lovely, relaxing holiday. It isn’t too big, yet has all the things you would want for a great Balinese holiday experience – comfortable rooms with flexible accommodation options for families, great food with lots of Balinese and Indonesian choices, lovely pool with a great view and, most importantly, exceptional staff who are both friendly and efficient. And did I mention the great massage therapists in the wonderful “spa by the sea”?
Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel’s exceptional staff, with Annisa looking after us so well and organising all the activities we wanted to do, and Dewa and his great restaurant staff doing the same.
The hotel is also in a special part of Bali – quiet, relaxing and beautiful.
After our week at Candidasa, our daughter, her husband and two children spent a few days at one of the “mega resorts” at Nusa Dua (not a Karma property). She said it didn’t come close to her Karma Royal Candidasa experience for enjoyment, despite its extensive grounds and facilities. She could only order western food like pizzas, steaks and burgers – not so much as a bowl of rice!
We hear that the Karma Group’s lease on the hotel at Candidasa is due to expire in the next couple of years. We sincerely hope that you renew the lease and keep the magic happening.
We also want to acknowledge Eny and her wonderful staff at Karma Mayura, who also went out of their way to look after us there. And a special mention to their wonderful yoga instructor Ayu, who gave us beautiful sunrise sessions on the hotel roof.
With thanks for a perfect holiday.
