We Had an Incredible Weekend at Karma Salford Hall

Hi,

We wanted to say a very big thank you to all Managers and Staff at Karma Salford Hall, we had an incredible weekend!

When this experience landed in the email box, I was so excited and expressed our immediate interest, my husband told me to cancel our other holiday booked for his birthday to this, he knows how much I love horses and all the other curated events are normally around his interests.

It wasn’t all smooth running at the beginning, but both Adrian and Lizzy made sure we were not left disappointed and worked hard to make sure we still had a great experience.

Our adventure started as soon as we arrived with a quick catchup on what we would like to do as I chose not to horse ride on my own. We decided on a trip in Bourton on the water (little Venice)

A beautiful little village in the Cotswolds. After breakfast, taxi arrived and we were off for a lovely relaxing afternoon around the village, plenty to see and do and even bought a piece of Cotswold pottery back with us.

With a taxi back another, catch-up with Adrian and Lizzy, we mingled with the other guests in the games room having a game of snooker, darts, space invaders and listening to some vinyl’s, after having a delicious meal in the Tempest restaurant. Apologies Lizzy, we completely forgot about the quiz but I understand the couple who did play had a great time, will make sure we are there next time and bring any guests with us!

The next day, we had a delightful Yoga class in beautiful surroundings where the stables are, this was very personal to our likes and abilities, followed by lunch in grounds. We was then introduced to a couple of the pony’s where we spent some time learning about the horses and the remarkable charity they run. My husband has a fear of horses and this part of the experience he was not looking forward to at all. However, by the time he had finished grooming Oscar his pony, he was then in the training paddock to learn how to direct a horse with no reins, just in their natural state and using his body language only to work with the pony by walking, trotting and directional control. It was amazing to see and my husbands fear soon turned into a connection where the two of them ran next to each other as one and my husbands fear gradually disappeared. What we got from this weekend was more then an experience, its been life changing. My husband came out of this more confident and even the Yoga, gave us far more then just a workout.

The evening was a blast and the guests we met as always, very interesting.

Thank you to all for arranging this event, definitely one of my personal best experiences and one we shall be talking about for a very long time.

Adrian, Lizzy, Jack and Elise, look forward to seeing you all again, you all make a great team and it was a real pleasure to have met you. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Kind regards

Sue and John McGrath
