We love Karma Jimbaran. Having a pool villa allows you to enjoy swimming in private in your own area and with the beach and so many choices for restaurants and spas nearby, and shopping not too far away, it's hard to beat.
We were nearer to the top entrance of Karma Jimbaran, which allowed us to go to the small Samasta lifestyle shopping area a short stroll away with several restaurants and shops worth a little look through.
We went to Wahaha and enjoyed fall apart pork ribs and a couple of times had takeaway lunch from Chir Chir Fusion chicken factory where you could buy a box of crispy chicken tenders with a few wedges for $7.90.
Again, we really enjoyed the Sunday Meet and Greet gathering and ate a couple of times at the restaurant in the evenings.
Our favourite restaurant nearby had to be la Brasserie, a delightful French restaurant walking distance less than 10 mins stroll along the road to the right as you head out of the main reception area. The French owner greets you personally and oversees your dining experience which we found outstanding on both occasions we dined there. The friends we took there were most impressed too. I highly recommend going there for either Indonesian fare or some authentic French cuisine all at a very reasonable price - cash only.
There are meant to be good seafood restaurants all along Jimbaran beach come night time which is fabulous to walk along for spectacular sunsets, but I can only give opinions on where we went this time. We were told by the Karma Group rep that the Black Pearl was the best seafood restaurant nearby.
Karma Jimbaran offered spas at the Karma Royal Jimbaran resort nearby where they would pick you up for your appointment, and we heard from others they were very good. We hired a driver to take us to Garlic lane in Legian to do some heavy bartering in the markets (Rp 25k / $25 for the round trip of about 4 hours) but we also enjoyed a trip to the more upmarket Bali Collection shopping mall at Nusa Dua for a few hours ( 40k /$40 for the return trip) about 30 mins drive away where they had many surf wear shops/ spas/ department store/ beautiful homeware shop (Skala Living- check this out!). Plus souvenir shops, marketplace for stalls to barter and the usual diverse range of eating places. During the day, it felt deserted but it was incredibly hot walking around. As night came on and it cooled, so more people appeared and all the restaurants started filling up so a suggestion is that you come at the end of your day to browse around the shops and have a meal.
