We have just arrived home after a spectacular holiday and amazing experience at Karma Royal Candidasa (Room 6) We were so excited to find our bed decorated with a heart made from bougainvillea and frangipani, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY written in cut up banana leaves and the bed runner beautifully arranged with more flowers! We also found a beautiful flower arrangement on the bedside table. It was so thoughtful and very much appreciated.
We hardly saw our lovely housekeepers, as they crept into our room like little angels whilst we were at breakfast. I would really like to compliment them on their work and the speed with which they did everything in keeping the room immaculate!
We loved the gorgeous gardens and I enjoyed taking many photos of the beautifully kept grounds. I am doing a series of paintings and hope to incorporate some of the plants in my paintings.
We so appreciated the amazing view of the ocean from the Seaside Restaurant, which was so cozy and welcoming, and we were able to see many different views of the lovely pool area, sky and cloud formations at different times of the day.
We loved all of our meals, created by Chef Dewak and the gorgeous restaurant staff were so attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the company of several Karma Group members we knew from prior resorts, and also met new friends whom we will undoubtedly meet again in the future. The pool was wonderful and we spent most days swimming, sunbathing and socialising with other guests. No wonder Karma Royal Candidasa is the favourite resort of many Karma Group members and we couldn't fault the great service of the restaurant staff.

We loved the amazing view of the ocean from the Seaside restaurant, which was so cosy and welcoming. So many different views of the lovely pool area and skies as well. We loved all of our meals at the restaurant created by Chef Dewak and enjoyed the company of several Karma members we knew and also made some new friends.
The pool was wonderful and we spent several days enjoying it and socialising with all the guests. No wonder Candidasa is most members’ favourite resort!
Some enjoyable cocktails, beer and wines that we delighted in sampling. Mike and I enjoyed all of our beautiful meals. We couldn’t fault the service of the restaurant staff or the food.
I think the highlight of my week at Karma Royal Candidasa was Chef Dewak's Cooking Class! We began the day travelling to the wonderful markets and I was so impressed with the amazing produce and incredible variety of vegetables. I would have loved to have taken some home with me! First of all we made the traditional Balinese Bumbu, then Peanut Sauce, Pork Sate, steamed Fish, Chicken Curry, Fern-tip Salad, Nasi Goreng and the delicious sweet Lak Lak. I so enjoyed it all, and many thanks to Chef Dewak for sharing his recipes and for his great tuition! We spent several hours creating the delicious recipes, then we were able to invite our partners to enjoy our special creations for lunch. It was beautiful and Mike, my husband just loved it all. Such a special day! I have done many cooking classes at other Karma Resorts, and this was by far the best!
