Karma Lake of Menteith, a 16-bedroom hotel originally built in 1888, is located on the northeastern shore of the lake. Near Inchmahome Island and its historic Abbey, the dog-friendly hotel offers scenic views and is perfect for countryside walks, blending history with natural beauty.

These spacious ground-floor rooms offer stunning, unobstructed views of the lake with a shared terrace area – Featuring modest en-suite baths with showers and bathrobes, they provide a comfortable stay. Directly overlooking The Lake with a large wooden deck and terracing along the waterfront. As early as 1494, Scotland was recorded for distilling malt to make “aqua vitae” (water of life). Although the produce of those many years ago was probably harmful, that is most definitely not the case today, after years of crafting and science. Karma Lake of Menteith’s Malt Vault is home to a selection of impressive malts, which are wholly intended to be increased!

Bask in the cosy and homely ambience of Karma Lake of Menteith’s onsite restaurant; think oak beams, an open fire and picturesque views. Our talented chef team turn out exquisitely prepared traditional favourites using local ingredients, as well as international-inspired flavours.

Sun Terrace

Karma Lake of Menteith’s sun terrace allows you to experience the unique lakeside setting. We duly recommend watching the sun set from this serene spot, even cocooned in your thickest winter warmers if necessary!
