As the Southwest Monsoons start withdrawing, the beauty of the backwaters is in full glory. Embark on a specially curated lunch cruise aboard our houseboat as it sails along on the Vembanad lake offering soothing sights of its calm waters, paddy fields and swaying palm trees. Upon return, we present an immersive cultural performance – the ‘Ottanthulal’ dance recital against the backdrop of the sun setting over the horizon.
DAY 3 – SATURDAY, 10 AUGUST 2024
Join the team as we head to the Punnamada lake near Allapuzha for the historic Nehru Trophy boat race on the lake. Witness dozens of long snake boats with rowers competing against each other for the top spot. Started in the 1950’s, this boat race is among Kerala’s most popular boat races and is truly a joy to watch! Enjoy the race from the exclusive Nehru pavilion with snacks and refreshments.
