Twelve apartments in one of Normandy’s most storied cities, set along the banks of the Seine where Rouen’s medieval skyline meets the quiet pull of the river. This is not a development in the conventional sense. It is a considered act of renewal — an existing building reimagined by Patterns Architects with the
same restraint and precision that defines the city around it.
The facade has been refreshed with its palette drawn directly from Rouen’s own architectural vernacular, so the building reads as a continuation. Inside, the apartments have been enlarged, reordered and refined: new kitchens, new flooring, new furniture, and the thoughtful addition of a mezzanine-level bathroom in
each multi-level unit. The kind of detail that separates a well-designed home from a merely attractive one.
Along the riverfront edge, new landscaping and urban furniture create something the site has long deserved: genuine places to sit, gather and linger by the water, as much for the neighbourhood as for those who chose to live here.
The residence features private studio, one, and two-bedroom holiday-style apartments, kitted out for comfort. Guests will enjoy the view from their river-facing windows no matter the season, while outside the front door Normandy offers a wealth of experiences to explore.
