Gin & Jamu

    A little interesting fact: Snoop Dog and I share the same birthday- October 20th. I have created the 10-20 of cocktails to enjoy whether you are self-quarantined in the Dog Pound or in my case often in the doghouse. In homage to the OG from Long Beach, California, I like to serve this cocktail long in a Collins glass.

    Note: Due to the limited imports of alcohol in Indonesia, I am partial to Bombay Sapphire. However, Bombay makes a variation called Sapphire East not available in Indonesia. Its flavor consists of Vietnamese black pepper, lemongrass & extra citrus tones- I bet this would be amazing!

    To prepare the Gin & Jamu:

    • 45 ml
    • 60 ml
    • 20 ml
    • 2 ea.
    • 1 tsp
    • 10 grams
    • 20 ml
    • 2ml (squeeze)
    • Garnish
    • In a cocktail shaker combine the gin, jamu, pineapple juice and kaffir lime leaves.
    • Add ice and shake vigorously.
    • In a Collins glass add fresh ice and coconut meat.
    • Pour the chilled liquor concoction over the ice.
    • Top with the soda water.
    • Float the coconut nectar on top.
    • Garnish with Kemangi, kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass stalk.
    • Squeeze the kaffir lime over the top and drop into the glass.
